We are a congregation of the Reformed Church in America which seeks to worship and serve God faithfully in this place and at this time.
Our worship has historic roots and is trinitarian, liturgical, Reformed and sacramental.
We follow the Revised Common Lectionary; we sing or chant the Psalms; our strong organ accompanies some congregational singing, but we encourage the use of many instruments in the praise of God.
We believe God calls us to participate as members of a covenantal community. We seek to be a friendly people, strong in faith and joyful in our diversity. We welcome all people, seeking to promote diversity and to understand how God moves in the world. We respect tradition but are open to the newness that the Spirit brings.
We are committed:
-
to the nurture of our children and youth and to their full participation in the life and ministry of the church;
-
to the systematic study and exploration of our sacred texts;
-
to the development of ecumenical relations;
-
to the integration of varied musical styles in worship including contributions from the world Church To accomplish all this, God has given us beautiful and large facilities, faithful and caring pastors, effective and professional staff persons, and diverse and dedicated leaders.
