Sunday Worship Service - 10:00 AM
-
-
At 9:45 AM we gather for worship. This time of meditation takes many different forms as sometimes we listen to instrumental preludes (organ, piano, brass), or we sing several praise songs led by Good News/Bad News (a rhythm group composed of graduate students), or we feature the music of different parts of the world through occasional choirs that are formed for this purpose.
-
The service begins at 10 am with the ringing of the bells and the procession of the light led by a young acolyte.
-
A different lay Worship Leader assists our Pastor and Student Interns in the leadership of the service.
-
Children are always welcome in worship and partipate as acolytes, in the Children's sermon and singing in the Children's Choir, which offers an anthem once a month.
-
During prayers and concerns, the congregation expresses individual thanksgiving and concerns and these items are lifted up in prayer throughout the week.
-
The sacrament of the Lord's Supper is ordinarily celebrated on the third Sunday of the month and on special days (first Sunday during Lent, Easter Sunday, World Communion Sunday and All Saints Sunday).
